HELP!! Beardie ate pebbles!

I'm a new owner, and I went on Petco to browse for stuff for my Trixie. I ended up getting an Exo-Terra Sand Mat, and some other stuff for her. When I was finished setting it up, I set her back in her tank, only to realize that she was ripping and eating the pebbles off the mat! I freaked out and removed the sand mat and put back her reptile carpet. I also gave her a cricket soaked in olive oil just to be safe. I'm just wondering if this would be enough to cause impaction, or if I'm worried about nothing. (She ate approximately 1-2 pebbles that are roughly half a centimetre wide.)

Please help me.

Hi. Hopefully she'll be fine. Just keep an eye on her. I know a year or two ago someone's beardie are one of those pebbles and ended up getting sick and passed away.

It's very, very rare for a small object to cause any harm at all so it's very unlikely that there will be a problem. I hate those mats, they're hard to clean and offer no real benefits. Just feed Trixie as usual and the pebble should pass through. :)

Hello,

They can be so naughty! I agree, something that size shouldn't cause any issues. They
should pass through without any trouble. You can give some extra oral fluids for her just
to be sure she is hydrated & things will pass through her more easily.
Let us know how she is doing.

Hi. Trixie's doing perfectly fine now. She had no problems passing it through, and she is still eating and pooping normally. :D :D

Hello,

That is great news to hear about little Trixie then, I was hoping she wouldn't have any problems
passing it through her system! This happens somewhat frequently since they feel the need to
lick their environment to test everything out. :)

Lol once one of my dogs ate my acrylic nails I dropped out of my nail box (a box of blank acrylic nails). He was a weird one... pets eat the weirdest stuff lol.

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
