Beard Pool of Blood in Stool

Hi all,

My beardie is going on 12 or so years old now.

The past couple of weeks he's been a little off, but mainly seemed quite happy. He's been running around, eating, and pooing as usual. He has a day where he was sitting with his mouth wide opened and seemed to be inhaling heavily with a dark beard, and making a strange noise, but he perked up shortly afterwords.

He hasn't been eating much the past couple of days, and today he's started making the same strange noise and motions as before. But today he tried to poo and a puddle of blood came out with it,along with a long slim sliver of white poo.
He had a poo the other day which was white and king like this one was.

I'm really not sure what's happening, I've tried giving him a bath

Any help is appreciated.

Aw, your good boy is really getting up there , you must have taken great care of him! Sorry to hear that he's had this alarming experience. There's no real way to tell why this happened, you would know if he ate something that would cause bleeding [ was he running around somewhere to eat a foreign object ? } so my uneducated guess would be possibly that he had a cyst/polyp or something burst. My sister has had gastro-intestinal polyps, mostly painless but has passed blood years ago because of it. There's also the possibility of a tumor, hopefully it's not that. There was a member here a couple of years ago that had a similarly aged beardie that passed a large quantity of blood , just once , and then seemed to return to normal . If you have a qualified reptile vet you'd like to consult you might get some answers, hopefully this turns out to not be serious.
