Ember is my 18 month old bearded dragon. For the past two weeks now she has trouble with balance. Over compensating when turning her head. Almost falling over. At first I thought it was dehydration. then calcium. Nothing worked after a few days. Thought maybe an ear infection. So we went to an exotic vet near me. We had blood work done and a physical. 500 grams 18 inches long. Calcium was a bit high but this was probably due to calcium given to her two days in a row. The vet gave me lactose milk thistle and i am giving her .25ml a day for the next 30 days. In case her liver is damaged and it may not show up was the vet's reason. Its been 7 days now. Before we went she was eating, basking and still being herself. Now i pull her out from under her hide i made her. I give her the meds. then she eats a bit and goes back under and hides. She looks sad or lethargic. Just lays on her pillow. I put her in the basking spot if she eats and she just goes back to her hide. She has tried to tip over on me twice. She just has not been herself and i dont know what to do. The male i have in the other enclosure eats the same. same setup same temps. 80/108 in basking

Vet also said it could be the "trans wobble."

Her Diet.

Kale mostly because she picks around everything else. bell peppers, dandelion greens. wont touch fruits. Dubia mostly with a few silkworms or BSFL. dusted with vitamins and calcium. UVB replaced every six months. tank cleaned with f10 sc. papertowels as substrate. enclosures are 4x2x2.

Please help. I'm at the point were i think she could be suffering but i'm not experienced enough to make that call

Hello,

So sorry your dragon isn't doing well!
Ember is a great name! Do you have a copy of her blood test you could post? She is a
hypo trans morph, or is she a silkback or leatherback?
Please post some pictures of your girl, along with her tank setup if you can so we can see
the overall spectrum of the situation & her condition.
Let's review your feeding & supplementation schedule too in case something is being missed
or needs to be changed.
Has her beard been normal color or a little darker than normal?
Could she have come into contact with any type of toxin, etc or not?

Her vitamins are Rep-cal herptivite with beta carotene given Monday Wednesday Saturday
Her Calcium was Rep-cal phosphorus free given Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday but she was switched over to reptivite given daily this week. Vet also recommended switching her vitamins to once every two weeks. Dont have a picture of her bloodwork. Beard has not changed at all. Dont believe she could have come across any toxins. They do go outside a couple times a week. 1 hour a day in an all screen cage with a rock or two to bask on

These are their enclosures

I'm glad that your vet cut back the vitamins, that could cause a toxicity problem but he's also correct that it could be the trans. wobble. Some of them just develop a neurological problem with those symptoms. For now though, just see if cutting back on the vits. has any effect. BTW, do they have access to shade when outside ? And is her tank the top one ? If so she may have become overheated which can also cause similar symptoms. If you take the temps. with a probe do you leave it on for 20 minutes ? An adult beardie should have a lower basking temp., more like 97-100.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
