Greens, collard, kale, blueberries that's what he had yesterday, spot is new this am. Thanks for responding. Of course stuff always happens on a weekend

Ok so I am going to say that is a blueberry stain---- please get a soft tooth brush and put him in a warm bath and see if you can wash it off

I agree, the most logical thing it would be is blueberry. But it actually looks swollen there, maybe just the angle but can you take a couple more pics of his tail while he's on a flat surface ?

Do you feed crickets? Is it possible a bite ? It still looks like blueberry but it's really dark in the center like a bruise

We feed super worms,no longer feed crickets. Do bd get black/blue from bruises. He's acting totally normally.

I really don't know and superworms do bite--- Is it possible you have one in the tank unaccounted for? We just had a dragon that had a hole in the tail from a super worm

You might want to consider dubia roaches and lay off the super worms- they should be fed as treats only- or silk worms are a good staple feeder

The swelling doesn't look right to me. It could be bruising associated with the swelling, or they could be independent issues. I would keep a close eye on the swelling and note if the area gets more swollen or goes further down the tail.
