Worried about my beardy

Hi, So I have a beardie she is around 8/9 ish. However I havent been able to get her to eat anything at all. Ive given baths, spray with water offer her usual foods and she just isnt entertained. Im just worried as she is getting on now ? Im terrified she will pass. She has always been lazy since ive had her, but never really had an issue of not eating.

Hi there,

Could you post some pictures of her and your setup?

How long has she not been eating? Have you been tracking her weight at all?

Unfortunately, one thing i never have done is tracked her weight. Been a few weeks or so now as you can see in the background she just hasnt even touched them

What are you using for lighting- UVB brand and bulb? How old is it? Basking temps what are they and how are you taking them?

We are using basking bulb and UVB strip ( we change every 6 months) about 30°c basking end, its been the same set up since we had her so nothing has changed, we have a temperature gauge in the tank, but also we have a digital one (we have torts too so very good with temps)

Hi, so far she has eaten one mealworm, she seems still mostly sleeping and not really moving, she isnt even basking under the light or anything. Im really unsure what else I can do for her. Ive rechecked everything I could think of.

I need to know the UVB bulb your using and the 30c is not hot enough which is 86F - she needs basking temps of 95-110F ---------this is why shes sleeping and not eating --- she will not eat if the lighting in the tank is not correct --- that includes the UVB w/ the basking temp being off that is telling me the UVB is not properly placed as well --- get your basking temps and UVB in order and you will see a different dragon --- if you dont she will get sick er -----

Ok you have a good UVB but I would get the 12% bulb --- the 10% is not high enough UVB rays -- it needs to be inside the tank and approx 8-10 inches from basking decor w/ NO cover over the bulb it needs to be exposed for best effect

Yeah, thats exactly how the set up is, no cover, honestly havent changed anything on the layout (besides changing the bulbs/UVB every 6 months. I got the tank from a rescue centre. So im just unsure whats happening, I tried to give her some water she took some but she also brought some back up, which ive never seen her do. She is my world, been around for both of my boys births and the housefire so trying to figure out what it could be.

Is there a reflector on the fixture? If not it should be closer than the 8-10- it would need to be 6-8 inches --- w/ no reflector the UVB rays are going everywhere but to her and a reflector would shine the rays downward toward her --- get her basking temps up shes not able to digest her food w/ out higher basking temps

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
