My beardie Kira was an adoption. She was returned because she wasn't well.this was likely due to improper care. I took her to the vet where i was told she may have a virus that caused her mbd or it was just poor care. Either way shes getting medicine nightly. Also due to her condition she is smaller than she probably should be. She looks about 3 months old. Her arms and legs are weak with old fractures. She is able to eat small crickets but i have to chase them to her. The vet told me to get her rapashy grub pie for extra protien. I did but i cant get her to eat it. She ate a few bites and seemed to like it but only when i was able to make it wiggle in tongs. Shes stubborn about eating from tongs and refuses to do so again. Im worried shes not getting enough protien and calcium. Is there another way to get her to eat the non moving food? Any ideas? I'm already in love with her and just want her to feel better. Thank you!!

Hello,

That is rough when they have metabolic bone disease & wont eat. Have you tried making a
slurry that you can feed to her via a dropper or syringe?
Some will willingly lick food off of their noses when you work with them enough, especially if
they likes the taste. You could get some chicken or turkey baby food, mixed with squash or
sweet potato baby food to try for her.
What UVB lighting are you using for her currently?

I haven't tried a dropper. I'll try that today! She doesnt like syringes since we have to giver oral meds that way ): i have a 10 watt? The vet approved it. Is it ok to have that on 24/7? I want her to get everything she needs. Thankfully she likes to lay under the uv.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
