The first photo or the one with the black sand is the first day I rescued Elliot from 10months of improper care and abandonment. No uvb, no calcium,10 gallon tank, red heat lamp and only fed ice burg lettuce and undusted crickets. The 2nd photo(the one with the carpet and dessert background is him now with adding syringe feeds, uvb, calcium, kale, carrots, super worms horn worms, and just recently repashy veggie burger and repta boost 1gram. He has been popping on his own for 2days now with what I think is healthy poop. I am wondering if he still needs veterinary care or if u can beat this with what I have been doing. I have also purchased retaid immune support and waiting for it to come in the mail. I have noticed him putting more pressure on his back legs and he is walking. Only odd thing is he falls asleep before lights out and hes sleeping with his front legs bent back with his palms up I mean he looks comfy but I am a new owner so not sure if this is normal. He can chew food but doesnt seem interested in getting it himself I have been feeding him. I also have to keep the super worn from crawling out of his mouth he gets it eventually but doesnt have alot of strength. Especially after he eats and when he wakes up he seems very alert and moves his eyes to sound. I guess my question is do anyone notice improvement? Is there anything else I should be doing to help this poor boy?

The best thing for him is a good UVB which would be a Reptisun 10.0 UVB I recommend the T 5-- good basking temps of 95-105 -- NO RED HEAT bulb---- what size tank is he in now? I would be dusting his staple feeder 5 x per week w/ D3 and vitamins 2 x per week --- he looks like he has a severe case of MBD-- not being able to chew might be a cause of that but I am not a vet ---- Tracie AHBD and Brandon on here can give you some more ideas on how to help him more

He is in a 40gallon tank now, no red light and uvb and basking light 9am to 9pm yes I would appreciate ANY help I can get I am trying SO hard to bring him back to health. He means so much to me. I have been researching and watching videos to try to help him as much as possible. I know this mbd takes up to 6months to completely beat. I need help as I dont know what to do. Funds are low so a vet is last option. I am willing but I want to see if I can care for him first. I also went ahead and made an appt for friday morning to see the vet.

Let's see what Tracie drache613 says she is a vet--- it's going to take awhile to get him back to health--- and feeding him a proper diet fresh vegies like mustard collard and turnip greens w/ maybe a little calcium D3 made into a slushie- you can add crickets in there but you won't be able to use than blender afterwards-- make it runny so you don't plug the syringe- my husband cut the top of syringe off so the end was a little bigger- you can administer little at a time so he doesn't asperate-- what kind of UVB are you using?

I've been putting food in his mouth gently and he eats it himself hes just not striking for it himself. I have been feeding him collard greens, I have given him green beans, butternut squash, and 3 blueberries. I know to use sparing on those but I was trying to get him to eat anything. I stopped syringe feeds because too much liquid he had diareah but since I've stopped hes doing healthy poops I've been feeding him a mix of collard greens and repashi grub mix and veggie mix as it is easy for him to chew and doesnt have as much liquid.

Sounds good you want to keep him hydrated-- his poops should be dark moist formed- w/white urate- moist formed not dry and or chalky

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
