I'm worried about my Bearded Dragon. I thought it was just undigested watermelon, but I think it might be blood in her poop. I wasn't able to get her any feeder insects for a couple of weeks, so she just stuck to her watercress and cucumber diet. About last week, I was able to buy crickets and I just bought superworms Saturday, along with some watermelon last week.
She's an 11-month-old female, her temperatures stay at 90F on the hot side, usually low 80'sF on the cool side. Could this be because I hadn't given her any feeders in a few weeks, and the sudden protein is causing the possible blood in her poop? Could it be because it's starting to get colder? I'm just worried that I'm doing something wrong.
She was having diarrhea for those few weeks without feeders, the occasional solid in between. This past week has been solid every day, with normal urate until about Friday, when I saw that there was (what I thought) undigested watermelon. Then it was normal, and now, it seems as if there's blood because she hasn't had watermelon since Friday.
She's also suddenly scared of me when I put my hand in the tank, I had to because I needed to clean up her poop and find the superworm I had lost.
Is she okay? Should I try to schedule her an appointment with the vet? The exotic vet that's here isn't in that much, the office is mostly for dogs and cats. I will try if I'm told I need to.
