Hi there,

The video does appear to show her at least trying to clear her lungs of something.

Do you watch her in the bath? Is it possible she might have aspirated some liquid.

They can get water in their lungs on occasion, it doesnt instantly mean RI though. Their bodies are capable of clearing their own lungs before infection sets in. But it's always a possibilty. But remember, water in the lungs does not equal RI. An infection in the lungs is.

68% actually is decently high assuming you're using an accurate hygrometer. Many are quite inaccurate. Either way when an ri is suspected or a potential, 68% really isnt a number you want to see.

Like Vingam suggested, if you can keep the temp at night around 80, that will help dry out the lungs a bit and it will help keep the immune system more active which will help the lungs too.

What did she eat today? Anything too big thatshe could have got stuck?

Has she been black bearding at all?

She usually loves her collards.but recently she’s been ignoring them. I have a Dubai colonie so I fed her a half full grown roach just to give her some nutrients. How should I keep her tank at 80 I am not sure? If I keep the light on it will be at 105 <<< 105F at the basking spot ? or the entire warm zone of the tank ?
If it's the entire warm zone , it's TOO HOT , and needs to nudged down at least by 20F so only the basking spot is near 100F.
Btw in Canada we use farhrenthiet. So it is 20 c
It’s the basking side , temps are all good. Cool side ranged from 65-75
And she ate a half grown Dubai that day, that’s all. So I don’t think it was too big for her. She is full grown . It could be tho

I recommend trying to schedule a visit to the vet as soon as possible. Based on the coughing, it typically means they're sick.

What lighting, tempatures, and humidity levels do you have in the tank and how often do you bathe her?

I bathe here usually 2 times a week , depends on how frequently she passes her stool. Sometimes if she hasn’t passed the stool for two weeks I bathe her for 30 mins a day for 5 days until she does . She is 2 or 3 years old not too sure . Are you sure it’s coughing ? If so I will try , I can’t afford the vet but I will spend every dime if necessary.

Any chance she's aspirated some water into the lungs ? this is the risk with excessive bathing in water that's too deep, it only takes an instant for their nose to go under and that's enough to cause serious lung difficulties.
I'd cut back the bathing to ONLY WHEN NECESSARY. My dragons are lucky if they get a bath 3 times a year.

Set up a warm bed for her ( about 36 degC ) and when she's asleep position her so her bottom is higher than her head. This will help
1) dry the lungs
2) drain the lungs.
If it's still happening in a couple of days she's developed an RI and needs vet treatment including nebulization ( at least with F10 ).
Problem about that is she refuses to poop in her tank. She doesn’t like pooping in her tank and she will hold it for weeks until I give her a bath. Very strange , she’s been this way ever since I got her, almost like she’s potty trained .

Hello, I posted an update earlier . But it did not show apparently. She isn’t coughing right now , all day. At least not that I’m aware of . She isn’t eating her greens ( as usual) she would eat worms or a roach if I fed it to her . Thanks for the advice everyone on the heat pad. I kept her on it over night with a blanket in between . She ate a grape today. So she does still eat . Do you think it’s still an infection or just liquid ? I would just like to know everyone’s opinion so I will know whether to bring her to a vet or not. Shows no signs of black beard at all. She has a few stress marks but she usually does have those unless she is feeding lol . Just want your opinion much appreciated thank you.

Hello,

I agree on the humidity percentage. You should aim for a 30-40% in all actuality, for optimal
environmental housing. What is the average most of the time?
She has not coughed at all today & hasn't had any black beard either?
If she isn't showing or exhibiting any signs of illness then you can probably hold off on a vet
visit for a short bit. They don't always develop respiratory infections if they aspirate water.
Just keep her a little warmer overnight & get the humidity levels down some for her.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
