Hello,
Which UVB light are you planning on switching to? The basking light you are using now
should be fine, as long as the basking temperatures are optimal for him.
How is he doing this evening? I am glad to hear you took the sand out so he wouldn't get
impacted again. It may take him several stools to boot out the impaction so you can add in
some canned pumpkin, or sugar free applesauce, or both mixed with a drop or two of olive or
coconut oil daily to help also.

Smaug is doing great. Back to having a ton of energy. I've been giving him cooked pureed pumpkin I had made, so I know for sure there's nothing in there that's bad. It's good to know I can use coconut oil!! I also have some baby beardie food that he loves to eat and he gobbled that up last night. And I ended up getting extra small crickets at the store but they keep going under the newspaper,, lol. I posted a picture of the uv light. And I was mistaken I did get the uvb one. I remember specifically telling my husband it had to had to be uvb.
