Will take all the guesswork and trial and error out of getting the basking spot or warm zone temperature right ( I'd focus on getting the warm zone to about 34 - 37 degC (AIR TEMPERATURE) rather than mucking about with trying the right air temperature and surface temperature (will be different) at the basking spot.
