Green poop sack

Postby brieck87 » Wed Jul 03, 2019 1:33 pm

We noticed our beardie (Sookie) took a huge poop. As we were cleaning it, we noticed a big green sack of some kind of fluid that came out with her poop. I went to poke it with a plastic knife and its almost like a bouncy ball...really bizarre. Any idea what it could be?

Has your dragon been able to roam the house and potentially ate something he shouldn't have?

Very odd that you describe it hard like a bouncy ball, that wouldn't normally occur naturally in the gut IMO.

Hello,

That is extremely odd! I agree, could he have ingested something foreign possibly?
Did he appear to strain any when he went to the bathroom?

Please review his feeding schedule & types of foods, insects, etc that he normally eats,
too for us.

Finally talked to someone who owns and breeds reptiles! It was a bad egg..it was in her for too long. So happy she got it out! She usually lays normal eggs so this was crazy to see. She is doing fine, ate well and is now asleep.

Hello,

Oh my! An old egg, well, that does make sense!
Does the breeder know how long ago she laid a clutch? Is she acting alright then & doesn't
seem to be acting as if she needs to lay more?

I am glad she is alright though.
