I’m concerned ! My beardie was struggling to poop and then he pooped but as he strained his insides came out but when I ran to get gloves to push it back in I came back and it was back inside of him! I didn’t think that was even possible. I know that I should be glad it went back in but I’m worried it will come back out. I pushed on his vent area to “reinforce” that it wouldn’t come out but I’m scared it’ll come back out. What should I do ? He seems fine but I don’t want him to push it back out when I leave to work :( please give me advice !

Make sure your beardie is hydrated, make sure your enclosure is optimal in terms of everything (lights, temperature etc.).

Keep in touch with your beardie, if it's still struggling and something came out that should not come out. Maybe better to bring it to a vet.

Hello,

Prolapses can be serious & life threatening. Too bad you didn't get a picture of that. How large
was it?
Can you review your tank setup for us, so we can be sure everything is all correct in his setup
for him? Also, you can post some pictures of him, along with the tank setup for us too. Are
you giving plenty of calcium a few times per week with greens on a regular basis?

It was like a tube type of thing ? But I’m now thinking maybe it was a hemipene ? It was darker like purple brown with a bit of red . It was only out while he was pushing then it went back in but I did freak out. I have a 10.0 uvb and a 100 watt basking bulb , I usually have reptile carpet but right now it’s paper towels for substrate. I have been giving him super worms a lot more lately I’m thinking that might be it ? He also hates his greens so I struggle w feeding him greens but I’m also thinking he’s not getting enough causing him to have to push harder.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
