Hello! Recently, for about 2 weeks, my bearded dragon as become extremely lethargic. I assumed it was because the temperature decreased in my house because we started using air conditioning but now it's gotten worse even after I made adjustments to the temperature. I also noticed that her tail was extremely dark but lightens when I handle her for a bit. I don't know if it's tail rot because the actual tail isn't rotting. I think it's just really bad stuck shed but I'm not quite sure. I also believe she broke her rib awhile ago but it wasn't actually affecting her health. She also has black spots on her side which didn't appear until about 2 hours after I let her soak. She also refuses to eat any type of food other than superworms.

Hello,

How would she have broken her rib, did she fall off of something high?
Please post pictures of your tank setup for us, such as the type/brand of UVB lighting,
supplements given, temperatures & foods fed as well.
Also, post a few pictures of your dragon also, just so we can see her physical condition.
Do you have a vet that you can take her in to see for an x-ray possibly?

I have a piece of wood in their that goes up about 7 inches which she could have slid off and landed awkwardly. And I dont know how to add images (I'm on my phone). I am using exo terra uvb 150

Edit: I don't have a vet near me that works on reptiles

Another edit: I feed her superworms and a mix of greens, avoiding kale and lettuce and i give her ten to twelve crickets dusted with calcium powder every other feeding

To add images from your phone click on the green menu button at the top and select User Image Upload Manager. Click on the new upload tab and upload an image there. Then you can post them to your thread using the XIMG button when you reply.

Which wattage of the UVB150 are you using? The 13w or the 26w? How far is it above the main basking area? It's possible that it's too far away to be effective (beyond about 8''), and the 13w doesn't produce adequate UVB for a dragon. What are the surface temperatures around the tank?

If the weather allows it, I would try bringing her outside for some natural sunlight and see if that helps perk her up. If it does, then lighting in the tank could be a problem.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
