He’s been behaving normally, and he currently is in shed. If you look closely in the picture, two scales are black- should I take him to the vet?

Hi there, can you post more pictures with his tail flat out behind him ? I don't see anything harmful there.

Hello,

I agree, the picture shows a normal tail. Sometimes during pre-shed phases, scales can look off
in color. They oftentimes develop what I call freckles, or a darker spot on the scale here & there
that is perfectly harmless.
