Hey!
so i am not sure what it is , but my bearded dragon Elliot who i rescued in April of 2018 . when i got him i seen he has some dark patched on his tail and the scales are weird shapes as if they were wounds that healed . but theirs one patch that is almost hard and its sort of thicker than the other ones and he whips me with his tail every time i try to look and touch it . i can try to get some photos if someone wants to private message me about it . i plan on taking him to the vet once the snow melts and it gets warmer here in North Western Pennsylvania . and i dont want to see him hurt . i cant touch the very end of his tail at all or he will whip me with it . and that hurts  and he has a kink in this very tip of his tail to which he dosent like and i am not sure if he should just get it amputated ..

My dragon has dark patches along his tail like that too. It's just natural coloring and isn't harmful. The kink in the tail looks like it was from a stuck shed or a bite from a tank mate. It looks healed over and shouldn't cause a problem.

O.K, good job getting those pics. :) Has it looked the same since you got him ? Does he let you handle him even though he doesn't like his tail to be touched ? It's not unusual for them to dislike their tail getting touched, most beardies are like that to a degree. Those marks may be completely harmless or they may be a slight touch of a fungal infection. But you can soak him for 10 minutes a day in a warm bath with enough betadine [ most drug stores sell it ] diluted to look the color of iced tea. If he hates baths you can just use a small rag or paper towel with diluted betadine to quickly brush it on his tail. The end piece may or may not fall off but it does not look like tail rot so doesn't necessarily need amputation, lots of dragons have a similar nip at the end of their tail.

okay! and he has had that yes since i gotten him and i thought it would go away i give him warm baths twice a week or more . and hes now starting to whip me with his tail when i go to touch it . it used to be he would run away from me and puff his beard at me . and he loves baths too so i will get some of that stuff and give him some baths .
and once it stops snowing and warms up i plan on taking him to the vet . i dont want to take him out side just incase with it being cold i dont want to take the chance of him getting sick if that makes sense

Since it's been there so long I do agree with Cooperdragon that it's most likely harmless. The betadine baths can keep anything from getting worse if there is any potential problem though.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
