I’ve not noticed any chnages in my beardie but within the period of a few days his toes have started curling up?! If it is MBD it has progressed SUPER quick. I’m only 16 and I don’t get paid till Friday, I can’t afford to take him to the vet right now. HELP PLEASE I LOVE HIM WITH ALL MY HEART BUT MY PARENTS JUST SPLIT UP AND MONEY IS TIGHT

Here are some pics. Notice that his toes sometimes curve upward? And he tends to leave his wrist bent down like that sometimes, same with his fingers/toes.

Well first of all he looks like he's gained some weight so that's a positive ! His legs don't look swollen at all. Is he walking O.K. ? Do you still have a coil bulb ? Can you post a pic of his light, where it's sitting on or in his tank ?

Hello,

Please review your tank setup for us, such as the type/brand of UVB, temperatures, the
supplementation frequency & use.
He doesn't look too bad, but needs a bit of weight on him. Does he have any trouble climbing
or running right now?

He climbs just fine, chases his bugs fine too. I was informed his weight was too low a while ago and he has since put on more. We are climbing steadily :). Getting him to eat is a pain, he eats like maybe five bugs then gets bored and wont eat anymore. I’ve upped my feeding times to 4 times daily rather than 2. He doesnt eat every time but it has given him more opportunities to eat if he wants to being that he eats very little each time. His stools are regular and fine. He loves running around and playing as well as cuddles. The tank set up is not correct, I should be getting new lighting within a few days, as I dont believe the coil is doing well for him. Each time i offer him feeders, theyre dusted in calcium, and i sprinkle some on his daily salad. Thank you all for your feedback and Ill update you when I get the new lights amd let you know how he is doing. I just worried about the way he walks on his hands, and the way his feet curl, I wasnt sure if those were early signs of MBD :(

Hello,

Yes, walking on his hands/feet & them curling up, etc are early signs of muscular weakness
so if you have caught that early & will be changing out his UVB light then you should be able
to halt the progression of it.
When do you expect you will be switching out his lighting?
I'm glad that he is eating though, hopefully he isn't feeling too bad. Keep us posted on him.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
