My baby beardie Cynder has a weird black patch on her back left leg. She is ok with me touching it and I tried giving her a bath to wash it off but it’s not anything like dirt. She is in a 40 gallon tank with a 10.0 uvb and a 75 watt uva. Temperature and humidity are normal and she is not fed crickets. She is eating normally, drinking normally and going to the bathroom normally. If there wasn’t a clearly obvious black spot I would’ve never known there was anything wrong. I don’t know if this matters but she is a translucent. Also her basking spot is high up in the tank, could this mean it’s a burn? I doubt it only because it’s been the same setup for months and this is a recent skin issue. Thank you :)

My first though was that it's a spot of poo, they don't come off very easily once they're " baked " on under the heat lamp. :) Did you let him soak a bit, then very lightly use a soft toothbrush. Not really scrubbing but stroking until you see if any comes off.

I doubt it's a burn but I guess it's a slight possibility. Can you show the distance between the basking spot and the heat bulb ? And is the bulb a spot bulb from the pet store ? I hate those, they are more likely to cause a burn than other bulbs.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
