I have a baby between 4-6 months
I have had him for 2 months and all was fine
Has has not eatin for a week but is still drinking
Has been to vets had x-ray and fecal test all clear
He is sleeping a lot and looking very lazy with puffy eyes
He will some times hide in a corner and just sleep.
He is pooing but is runny and today's pop had some blood.
I'm not sure on his weight will be getting some scales when I finish work.
He was on a lose substrate up un till two days ago.
Looks fine altho every now and then he will go dark then back to bright.
He is in a 4ft viv with a 75 watt basking bulb and a t5 10.00 uvb back when he was eating I was useing calci-dust and nutrirep multivitamin. Hot end at 40c and cool at 35c. Please help

Hi,
I am sorry to hear about your baby being poorly. Could I ask what food is he on, the size of the food too. What kind of salad is he on too?
It's good everything came back all clear on the results there is a positive to it.
Some bearded dragons do this when shedding I had an adult scare us like this every time he she's but I'm not saying that is definitely the case. When did he last shed? It's better to try and rule everything out to help find a solution.
My baby 3 months old at the moment temps in his Viv are 43c hot end and 30 cold, I did research on the temps and spoke to a reptile specialist who told me I shouldn't have my cold end above 30.5c so he maybe too hot. When he has pooped does he have a white bit in the poo?

Sorry for the late reply just left work.
He has stopped growing he's supposed to be growing like mad but he has not had a shed for about month and a Half is that normal. He has yet to start eating greens. He was on crickets tiny ones definitely no bigger then his head. The white bit of poop is there it's just very slimy looking

They sometimes have lulls between growth spurts and don't eat as much and act a bit sleepy. This isn't necessarily a problem in itself. Can you post some current photos of him? That will help provide a better idea of his overall condition. If he isn't eating have you tried offering some extra hydration by dripping water on his nose to lick up?

He is still drinking fine so not so worried about that. He is currently asleep and all the lights are out so I will do in the morning. Thank you for your help. I will post some pics up tomorrow

Hi , I was commenting on your thread in the health section. I agree , 35 is too hot for the cool end, get it down to 25. At first your basking temp. was too cool but 40c is good now. So now the cool end needs to be decreased to 25C.

He looks pretty good, about the size of a 3 month old but I know he's a bit older. Have you looked in to getting the Fuker's Repta boost ? That might get him eating. I truly hope he doesn't have a wood chip lodged somewhere, good that you got rid of it, it's terrible stuff for a bearded dragon.

I strongly suggest taking him to the vet to have his GIT imaged to be 100% sure there nothing in there causing a blockage.
Better to be sure and take it from there , than to take the wait an see approach.

Obviously if he's got a blockage of the GIT , he'll be off his food and any solids given will only accumulate in the gut ,sit there and rot.
So if he's got a wood chip or wood chips in his GIT and these are causing a blockage , feeding him solids is dangerous.

Spyro's original thread is in the health section, he already had an xray but it may be something there too small to show up.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
