Blood in poop, decrease in appetite...

Hey,

A week or so ago my 1 year old bearded dragon started pooping bits of blood. At the same time, he was also pooping 1-3 times a day and i noticed sometimes he would be straining. It is unusual for him to poop more than once a day. Eventually the bleeding went away and right now his pooping is back to normal, but for some reason he has stopped eating his greens entirely.

Important info: I have not done anything differently since this started except put another heat bulb in his cage as I noticed that it was not hot enough. Now that I have installed the bulb, his basking spot is around 90 degrees. He also has a Reptisun 10.0 UVB that is right above his basking spot, and has exhibited no signs of MBD.

Nothing has changed in regards to his behavior; he is very energetic and loves to run around, he has not blackbearded or shown any signs of sickness aside from what i mentioned above. If he doesn't eat soon and there isn't any changes I will be taking him to the vet, but what do you guys think?

My 4 years old beardie had something similar not too long ago. She stopped eating her greens, then her insects. I took her to the vet after I noticed the blood and turns out she had pinworm. I suggest you take yours to the vet as well, it can be deadly if not treated. Blood in the cells is never a good thing...

Thank you for sharing. There has not been any improvement these past few days so he is scheduled to go to the vet tomorrow.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
