My boyfriend and I have two bearded dragons. They are both a little over 2 years old. Jax is a girl and very healthy. Miku is a boy and when we got him from the pet store he looked very malnourished which made us want to take him home even more.. clearly he needed love. When we got Miku, he had a scab on one of his nostrils. Over the past couple years the skin would build up and then it would fall off. We didn’t see it as to much of a concern as it was always small. The past couple of months it has grown a substantial amount. To the point where it is now affecting the side of his mouth and eye a bit. He has also always struggled with shedding his skin. We give him minimum one bath a week and it doesn’t seem to be helping. We are so lost on what to do! Someone help!! :( We are hoping for home remedies for our poor guy but if nothing works we will be taking him to the vet.

Hello,

Sorry your boy has a skin issue. Can you post a picture or two for us?
It could possibly be fungal in nature, but need to see a picture. The skin literally scabs up,
then sloughs/falls off?
For now, until you get him to a vet, try to get some raw, unpasteurized honey to put on the
area for help with infection. It sounds somewhat severe to me.
Is it affecting his appetite too?
Can you review your tank setup with us also, such as the temperatures, supplementation,
type & brand of UVB lighting, etc?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
