Bearded dragon with diarrhea issues??

My 4 year old female bearded dragon has been having diarrhea for 2 weeks. We took a sample to the vet toward the end of week one and the vet said everything came up clear. We are on week two, she will still eat and she isn't lethargic. I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with her :(

She has a 40 gal tank with a reptisun 10.0 tube for UV. Her heat is approximately 100-110. On the cool side it is approximately 80. She is fed a salad consisting of baby bokchoy, carrots, apples, and other treats mixed in sometimes (watermelon, berries, etc) each morning. She has medium sized dubia roaches (3-4) every other night. They are coated every other feeding. I bathe her once every other day. Her humidity is normally 40. Her substrate is dark, slate tile.

Please help me out here. She used to have blood in her diarrhea last week, but hasn't this week.

I don't know how to fix her!! :banghead:

Hello,

So sorry your girl has diarrhea. Is she getting dehydrated?
I would start trying to get some oral fluids into her, such as Pedialyte & water mixed to help
her out since she has lost fluids.
I would limit the fruit right now to 1 maybe 2 times per week max, to cut down on the sugar
intake. Sugar can cause diarrhea. Are you feeding mustard or collard greens, or other types
of greens daily?
You can try getting some bromelain enzyme to help settle her tummy.
What are you measuring the temperatures with?

Thanks Tracie! She might be dehydrated, and I've tried everything to get her to drink. She won't drink from a dropper and will only occasionally drink in the bath. I've also tried spraying water on her nose but she won't open her mouth. I will try what you recommended and try to get her to drink it. Can you possibly send a link to where I could buy the supplements/what kind they are? I'm feeding her baby bokchoy each day (greens). I measure her cold side temp w a digital thermometer and the basking spot with a temperature gauge.

Hello,

So sorry, I did read you fed baby bok choy & wasn't thinking of the leafy portion of them. LOL
You should be able to find the pedialyte at any drug store or grocery store. You can get a plain
or flavored type.
Here is a link for the bromelain if you wanted to try it for her:

You might be able to find it at a local health food store, also.
The temperatures should be fine then, using the temperature gauge, is it a digital probe to
measure the basking?

Thank you so much! I just gave her a bath and she has been drinking from a syringe! She pooped in the bath and it was still awful. She has perked up though! and it is a digital probe :)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
