I fed my beardie horn worms for the first time 2 days ago. He ate them without a problem but he started acting a little strange and has been a little lethargic since , he hadn't pooped since I fed him the hornworms which did worry me because he usually poops every day but today he finally pooped. I could tell he was having difficulties pooping but he did end up getting it out but when I was going to clean it out I noticed the urate was slightly tainted pink and there are red patches on his poop. From what I can observe hes acting normal now but im still concerned. I am not sure if hornworms turn their poop red or what is going on. I'm still very new at taking care of bearded dragons , please help ! I dont want anything to happen to him :(

Hello,

Hornworms should turn the stool red, no. What else have you been feeding your dragon &
what are you feeding the hornworms?
How large is your dragon & how big were the hornworms?
They do get pretty big & maybe they were just a bit hard for him to pass.
You could try to get some extra oral fluids into him to help with hydration.
Let us know how he is doing.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
