Dark Problem Area on Foot

I recently noticed this on Smaug's foot. I sure hope it's not scale rot...and if it is, what do I need to do to treat it, or is it just a trip to the vet?

It doesn't look like anything harmful. Just soak it or dab it in betadine watered down to the color of dark iced tea, it should be fine.

Thanks for the quick response AHBD! I'm assuming that I can pick that up at like a CVS (drug store) or perhaps a Wal-Mart?
