URI?

Hi! Im a new beardie mom! Yay so ive had Rex (girl or boy) for about 25 days and everything is going sooo good. She/he eats her greens and her crickets and loveeesss being held as well as pooping daily. Now she has already shed while i have had her and she shed inside her nostrils and while she was doing that she would breath and puff her beard to try and push out the shed. Now fast forward to about 2 weeks and i have noticed the past 2 days she is breathing with her beard and occasionally opens her mouth but there is no mucus in there or any popping sounds when i listen real hard. She is still eating perfectly but i am just worried. Could this be the start to a URI?

It doesn't sound like it. It could still be shed related. Maybe another shed cycle coming through or a patch that hasn't shed yet. They often puff like that to help loosen skin. If you don't see lethargic behavior or excess mucous around the nose/mouth it isn't likely a RI.

I don't think its a URI, either. Usually, URI happens if you keep your terrarium really wet and humid. Sounds like shed and or yawning. My beardie will do this as well. He will open his mouth, puff his beard, we call them beardie stretches :D

Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
