Hi guys, my beardie has clogged femoral pores, they don't look too swollen but have the crusty bits. I have read that I should give him warm baths to help them fall off? Is that all I can do? And how often and for how long should his baths be? I also noticed while I was giving him a bath just now that he had a very small black area under one of the scales on his tail... the scale also seemed a little loose. It's hard to tell from the picture but I have no idea what that could be. Maybe he just scraped his tail on his log?

I would really appreciate any advice! Thanks!

Hi there, can you post pics of his femoral pores ? Many times they are just normal . And better pics of the dark spot, it's hard to tell from that pic if there's any concern.

I can't seem to take a better picture of the spot on his tail because the spot is so tiny, im probably just worried for nothing since he's my baby ? I'll keep a close eye on it. His pores definitely look clogged to me but this is the first time he's had an issue with this in his 8 years so I'm not too sure how to take care of it before it requires vet attention.

Those aren't bad, just give him a warm 10 minute soak every other day, or even every day if he likes it. Use a soft toothbrush to gently stroke the areas. Makes sure he has rough areas in the tank like logs + rocks to drag his legs across, that helps too.

Do you have pics of his tank ?

That's good to hear! And also good that he enjoys his bath time. His tank has plenty of logs and he spends his day going from one to the other so I'm surprised he's having this issue. Thank you for the help!

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
