Mmkay well you all may call me Madeira, Maddy, Mad... anything that suits your fancy. I found this place on google (all hail google...) because I am getting myself a beardie rescue for my birthday (which is in only four days, who knew?)
I've been wanting a beardie for some time now but up until today my parents flat out said no about it. My dad doesn't like the scaley stuff and my mom just didn't like the idea. Though it's odd that my dad's the one who said he'd let me have one... so again, who knew?
But besides all that, we found a reptile rescue place in Virginia that isn't that far from here. They have 15 juveniles up for adoption and I think it's my best bet to save a beardie, rather than trust the pet stores to get one.
So yeah I don't technically have a dragon YET but soon I will. I'll probably be around a lot, asking all kinds of questions.
Though I already know I want a female and I want to name her Calypso because that's such a beautiful name for such a beautiful animal.
