Hi I am new to this site. We just added a baby bearded dragon to our family last weekend and I have been searching the internet to find the best way to care for him, or her. We named it Sammy since that can either be a boy or girl.

Hey there :)

Although I will leave the topic of caring for them alone (since i'm not a guru by any means), it's pretty easy to determine the gender of your new dragon.

If it's over 9 months old, it will be very very obvious. On the underside at the base of the tail, look for 2 bumps on either side. If you see them, then you're the parent of a proud boy. Otherwise... it's a girl.

Got any pictures?!

I am already searching through the forums and finding out some of the information I was given by Petco was incorrect. It is already being remedied! I don't have pics yet because I need to get a new camera. I saw an article about sexing them, mine is just a tiny one so it is probably still too early. Tracy

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
