New member & beardie owner (Help)

Hello! I got my new bearded dragon Rex and he’s been doing well but as I was doing research I started to realize how small he is. I recently got him from pet smart and they had him in the back. They said he was a return and no one wanted him so I figured I’d take him home and give him one. The lady said he was 7 months old and me not knowing much about beardies I took her word for it but I’ve come to realize that most 7 month olds are around 14/16” long. He is only 8.5” and I’m worried that either she lied about his age or his growth was stunted. We just got him 3 days ago. Any thought about what I can do? I’m going to upload some photos.

I'm glad you're able to give him a good home! He does look small, so I'd guess maybe 3-4 months old? Their size can vary so it's hard to say for sure. She may just not have known his age and guessed, that's all. It looks like he's about to shed though, so more growth spurts are on the way =)

Okay cool, That’s what I was thinking. More along the lines of being 4ish months old, thanks
