Hello all,
I'm excited to start an adventure with a bearded dragon soon! I read the great post about newbie lighting help, I was was gifted a Zilla 24in strip light that includes a 18in 15 watt 50 uvb T8 fluorescent bulb and on the box it says to place on the screen but read that it can block a good chunk, any recommendations about placing inside or outside would be helpful! I have a tank with a height of 16 inches, I'm aware of T5 being superior than T8 and looking to upgrade at a later date! Thank you guys for your time!

I would ditch the Zilla bulb and replace it w/ the Reptisun 10.0 T 8 bulb -its a way better bulb -- it will go right into that fixture -- take the plastic cover off so bulb is exposed --- and place inside the tank approx 8-10 inches from basking decor ---- it will need to be replaced in 6 months -- here are some ideas on how to hang it
3 M command Velcro fasteners- picture hanging wire – long plastic zip ties-- fishing line-- potted plant hangers -- shoe laces

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
