Hi all. I have taken over the care of my son's Bearded Dragon. Adult son, its just that his job keeps him away from his home 4 out of 6 weeks. The Beardie's former care giver has become unable to do what is needed to keep him healthy, so I am now caring for a Grand-Pet. The little guy is called Beast and he has fit right in to our odd household. He is four years old. I have never cared for a reptile before but my son is just a text away for questions and I am well read. My main hobby is tropical aquatic animals with a really heavy emphasis on ornamental freshwater shrimp and somewhat on aquatic plants. I have a few fish as well. Anyhow, I am sure that I will have lots of questions going forward. I have had Beast for about a month now and we seem to get along great. I am gonna need some help though, so that I can make sure he is as well taken care of as possible. Anyway, thanks to anyone and everyone in advance, and remember that i have a pretty good bank of knowledge regarding freshwater shrimp if anyone is interested. Cheers-Casey

Welcome to the forum! People here do tend to have other niche specialities which is cool to here about.

Second the yes to pictures. It's nice to get ideas and inspiration from what other people are doing. Giving a dragon a beautiful healthy spoiled life is a satisfying hobby

Welcome to Beast!
My adult son gave me my Dragon for Thanksgiving, they just didn't have the time to properly care for him, too much going on in their lives. But I offered, cause I just adored Petey anyway.?
There are very helpful people here, always willing to lend a hand.

She’s 5 months old and has been with me for 3-4 days she eats well but today she had loss of appetite I use repti sand for her substrate she loves to dig a lot.just like all pet stores they don’t take that good care of thier animals so I’m wondering I’m shes to skinny or has any alerting things she’s pretty active unless she’s stressed in her new home she poops 1-2 times per day

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
