Have had Dracarys for about 4 months now. I am not sure if it is a boy or a female, I’m leaning towards male but still unsure, hard for me to tell and I have done the flashlight through the bottom above the tail.

And here is pics of today!
Could anyone help me identify what type Dracarys may be? Morph and all that good stuff :) the nails are definitely dark.

Looking chubby here, just had a nice meal and lounging on that belly haha.

Welcome Dracarys and b00ndocks!

He looks like a a normal wild type inland dragon to me. He had some nice spikes on him. Also seems pretty big for so young, he might grow to be a huge dragon

Really? I was worried he was a dwarf cause he just got bigger in the last month . I feel like it stayed small for so long, unsure of sex but it would be awesome to get huge :D

Thank you for you input, so a Normal inland dragon hmm. I’ll have to look those up and get some insight. I’d like to find out if it’s a female or male.

Does it appear to be healthy? I try :)

Also do any of you guys and gals fast your dragons? I have not fed him for a whole day before to keep his weight ideal as well as on the following meals it’s a salad so a day in between protein. Not sure if this is harmful or not but I figure it is healthy for people and animals so it surely could be beneficial for Dracarys.
I work second so it is usually asleep when I get home at midnight but sometimes will open it’s eyes for a second when I get on the computer.

not a regular human salad. lettuce is just water - no nutrition.

beardie salad should be collard greens or kale. add some yellow squash. can mix in other greens like cilantro or italian parsley. not sure where it is on here, but there was a very helpful and color coded food guide.

he looks healthy. take him out when you can and let him walk/run around. i take mine out in the yard and let him run in the grass.

also, looks more like a male. look on his inner thighs to see if you can see any pores. if so, probably a male.

Hi Dracarys! Good looking Dragon! ? Welcome. Sorry I was late to the party.
I don't 'fast' my Petey, he has salad every day and protein every 2-3 days, with his salad. Typical salad for Petey is Mustard greens, small diced zuchinni, sweet potato shreds and maybe some thin sliced snap Beans. I feel variety is key to healthy diet. He also gets other greens and veggies with occassional bites of fruit, but he's not too big on fruit. Petey is about 2.5 yrs old, active and healthy.
Glad you found the forum, so many knowledgeable and helpful people here and tons of info. ? Don't hesitate if you have questions, I'm still a noob and so grateful for the help I've received here.

Edited to add - As I understand it, not being adult, your beardie should be having plenty of protein EVERY day, it's needed for growth. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please. ?

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
