Hi there and welcome to the site!

14 is definitely up there in beardie age. Congratulations on that! Have you had him his whole life?

Well just like humans and age, it can happen a number a ways. The best you can hope for really is that they just start to slow down and pass peacefully in their sleep once night. Sometimes they will get sick in their old age as their bodies aren't as able as they once were. And sometimes organs fail with age. There really is no way of knowing how or when obviously.

By the way we would love to see pictures and hear more details about your buddy :)

Thanks for your answer... Yes I got him from the pet store when he was as long as my finger.. makes me nervous just reading those different ways. I really really hope its he goes in his sleep.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
