Meet Figment! - and a question

Well, my on board advisors who said that everything happens for a reason were right. All week I had my heart set on a Petco beardie who was sold before I could bring him home... but today I was out shopping with a friend and found another dragon, about three months old, and couldn’t resist. He’s a lovely terra-cotta color and was very clean and mellow when handled; I had the pet store guy drop a few crickets in and he showed a good feeding response. So I brought him home and named him Figment.

He’s spent all evening where I placed him, on the prime basking branch, and I knew he’d reached the optimum temp when he started gaping. I’m following the advice I’ve been given and will be keeping hands off for a week to let him settle in. My question is, what should I be on the lookout for in this first week or so, for signs of health and signs that are red flags?

I’d post a picture of him, but can’t figure out how!

Awesome! I'm so glad it worked out for you. Where did you come up with the name?

You can upload pictures with the user upload manager at the top of the site, and then copy and paste the XIMG code to your post.

Looking forward to seeing pics of figment! :)

Aha! Thanks, Brandon. Here's Figment! I named him after the dragon mascot of Walt Disney World's Epcot, a little purple dragon who is the spirit of imagination. He's also the mascot of the Disney Imagineers. :D

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
