Howdy,
I kept Green Anoles as a kid in the '60s. STAR TREK had premiered the year before, and Mr. Spock was all the rage, so I named my first Anole "Mr. Spectrum" (hence my handle).
Getting back into reptiles has been on my "bucket list", so now that I'm retired, I've been watching dozens of videos and reading dozens of websites on dozens of lizards (i.e doing my homework ) Clint Laidlaw & Reptiles Magazine are 2 of my main gotos. I decided to start with a bearded dragon. Like DorgEndo in another post here, I think I prefer the wild/natural colorations & spikiness over most of the morphs (no offense to anyone). I have a name picked out, but that'll have to wait until said lizard is obtained.
I'm currently building an enclosure from 3/4" (18mm) Baltic Birch (60"W x 24"D x 25"H), and we'll be attending 3 reptile shows between now & November. After meeting some breeders & checking them out, I'll pick out a nice beardie.
Glad to be aboard.
