Hey guys! I just picked up my first beardie at a local reptile expo in seattle! He seems to be settling in well so far! He could be eating a little more but im sure thats just moving anxiety.
This is Winston

So my question is, he was sold to me as a hypo dunner het trans. But from my understanding if they're a dunner, they don't have stripes on their tails, and Winston obviously does. Can someone clarify this for me? thanks :)

Welcome! Hi there Winston!

He definitely looks like a dunner to me. The dunner trait is a scale trait, and has nothing really to do with stripes on the tail. That would be from other genetics of the line.

Correct in that a lot of dunners have spots instead of stripes, but it's not what makes a dunner a dunner.

My Tombo is a dunner, and he has three stripes at the base of his tail, then it turns into single spots going down the middle. But like mentioned, that's because that's how his father was and not necessarily in relation to ther dunner trait.

Your guys tail might change as he grows too. Patterns tend to a bit with dragons as they age.
He is a good looking dragon. I personally love the dunner morph which is funny because when it was first introduced I really didn't like them lol.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
