I know you say the purple light doesn't bother her but I think you will find that even if you left all the lights on, she would still sleep. It's just more ideal for there to be complete darkness. Dragons use their sense of light for so many important functions. They are much more complicated than we are when it comes to lighting. I will send you a very informative link later when I'm on my computer that you should read. Packed full of good information in regards to reptile lighting.

Being outside is good, but the fact that you ordered a uvb bulb is better
And remember, glass blocks uvb so when you are sitting near the window with her she isn't actually getting any uvb. So taking her outside is definitely good. Butt it's just bit feasible for you to be out there with her for as long as she needs to get the uvb she needs.
