Meet Rex!!

Hi all!

I have had Rex for quite a while now, but have not formally introduced him on here.
He is a rescue beardie, and as you can see in his photos, he still has a few physical traits that show his previous life. My vet told me that he suffered from MBD when I got him, as his previous owners never gave him any calcium, had the lights blocked by a screen and he was never fed properly. On his back, he also has a nick where he was bitten by a cricket - which then got infected. The vet has since given him the all-clear that he is healthy and back on track!! So, after that rough start to life, he is now happily and healthily living with me, and is an absolute joy to have!

One question that I have - Rex loves to burrow and hide himself, so I think he would really enjoy having a blanket to hide in. Is it safe to put in blanket in with him, which he will obviously be left with unattended?

I'll add some photos soon :)

Thanks!!

Mystic loves his fleece blanket. I cut up the blanket and put a nice piece in the corner. Other pieces I have on his hammock hanging down, I call it his blanket cave. I hope yours will enjoy his too.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
