hello once again everyone!

Just a quick question about lighting.

Is this a proper bearded dragon bulb fixture? It says its for plants but someone linked it to me. Seems legit. Also could someone link a proper basking fixture/ CHE fixture? the one of the newbies set up on here are sold out. And I can't find many, but I found one that I have questions about.. would this one work as a basking bulb? or is it one of those that cause health problems.

Hi. The first one the flukers is just a light fixture. No bulb. I order a light fixture with the t5 with a bulb on Dr.FosterSmith for about the price of the bulb and the fixture your looking at. :D

Hi thanks for your response, i knew it was just a fixture I just needed to know if it was UVA/ basking bulb. Also if it was safe for beardies. Ill check him out. Also, for my 50 gal long, here is the BASKING fixture I plan to get... and I would like to know what watt bulb I should get? 75? 100?

Would this 100 watt work as a basking bulb?

The 100w PowerSun is a decent mercury vapor bulb. It has optimal UVB output at about 10-12'' above the basking area (less if it's shining through a mesh top). The downside is that you can't control the heat and UVB output independently so if temps aren't high enough, you'll need to add a secondary light. As long as the dome fixture is rated to handle the bulb it should work. The deep dome fixtures are nice if you are mounting the light on top of a tank and need to keep the bulb away from the top. if you're hanging the fixture above the tank then the standard dome is fine but the bulb may stick out the bottom a bit.

Ok thanks for letting me know

Should I look for a different one or is it decent enough it’ll keep my beardie alive? If you could provide links to better ones it would be appreciated. I think it will be the one I’ll get.

From a UVB output standpoint it should be fine. You may need to tweak the temps though. It's something that varies between enclosures so you'll need to do a bit of testing to see what works best in your environment.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
