Got my beardie yesterday and he hasn't really eaten

Hey everyone! Not sure if this is the right forum. I got a new beardie yesterday and he ate one cricket last night but this morning I tried to feed him and he won't eat. I put him in a plastic container to eat because his tank is on the bigger side. But all he does is try to get out of the container. He isn't interested in the crickets at all. I feel bad he is just looking at me lol. Should I calm down because he just got here?

Hi Samantha, and welcome to the forums! How old is your newly acquired beardie? If he is young, he is probably stressed from being in a new environment and new enclosure. Moving him into a tub may stress him out even further. My suggestion would be to feed in his cage, but block off half of his enclosure when feeding. That way you dont have to worry about him chasing down crickets that seem like they are a mile away :) What are your basking and cool side temperatures at?
