Hi! i'm getting my beardie today as a rescue animal and am looking for as much advice as possible. i've been told he's roughly 6 months old. how often should i be feeding him and how many crickets should he be eating in each feed? also silly question but which lights do i turn off at night for him? sorry for complete newb questions any help would be much appreciated!! will post pictures of enclosure when able.

Hello! I would recommend looking through the 'Newbies Guide' under 'Care Sheets & Articles', it will help you a lot.

At 6m, he should be eating 2-3x per day, as many as he can eat in a 10-15min period each time. Dust with Calcium W/O d3 5x a week, and on the other two days dust with a multivitamin supplement.

At night, ALL lights should be turned off, and unless it drops below 65º at night, no extra heat is needed. If it does drop that low or lower, get a CHE (ceramic heat emitter).

Is he okay to eat fruit and veggies? I've read that some people leave them in there throughout the day so he can eat when he likes, is there a limit to how much I should put in there? Thankyou for the reply!

Yup, you should try to get him to eat them as young as possible.
