Hello everyone! My name is Shannon and you are about to meet my little Spike!

We brought Spike home on March 26th. (My children are 7 and 3 years old and my oldest son named her, obviously because of her look, but I am ok with that. lol)

And this is from 15 minute ago, after her morning feeding.

I posted when we first brought her home as she stopped eating and started hiding under her rock in the picture above. I also had her temperatures a little messed up, which some very nice people on here helped me to fix. I also had to take her rock away from her as she was still hiding under it and not basking whatsoever. I also got rid of her hammock after reading that their toes could get stuck in the mesh ones.
Now, she has her nice log jungle gym, as I call it, and absolutely loved it from the moment I put it in there.
Spike is currently in the process of getting her appetite back and gaining a little more weight. She went to the vet on Tuesday as I am a worry wort and thought she may have parasites; but got a clean bill of health other than being a little on the skinny side. Her relocation stress lasted longer than I was hoping it would, but the vet reassured me to just give her some more time. And he was quite right.
She doesn't have much interest in her crickets anymore, so she is currently on BSFL, which she will only eat if I hand feed her (and I do not mean force feed either). She refuses to eat out of her food bowl and will not look down to see them crawling; hence I hand feed her. (No I am not complaining as it gives me another reason to spend time with her!) I am also waiting on my shipment of small dubia roaches to arrive, hopefully tomorrow. I don't want her to get bored of just eating one live feeder. Salad is a no go for right now, but I will work on that, too.

Spike is actually my second bearded dragon. I have however, for the past 7 years, owned Leopard Gecko. Very different I know, but at least I am not quite new to owning reptiles. I do LOVE the personality Spike has. She is her own little Dragon who LOVES to lay on the bed with me, right under my chin as I am watching tv before bed. (This has become a routine I do with her before I turn her lights out at bedtime.) (And yes, I do use a CHE at night as my house tends to stay a little on the chilly side at night.)

And that is my little Spike. ^-^

I'm glad to hear she's settling in well. She's a cute little dragon =). She looks alert and healthy so I'm sure her appetite will pick up and her weight will climb gradually as she hits some growth spurts.

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
