First clutch jitters! Help!

Postby Crazybeardiemomma » Thu Sep 10, 2020 7:15 pm

Hey guys! So this is my first time dealing with babies, and I am excited to learn all I can! So my first clutch is 73 days still no hatching or denting but my eggs are getting soft. A little worried about them any ideas? Also when I candle them they arent moving anymore. They were moving when I candled them a few days ago. My temps are 85 F and my humidity is 75 percent. My 2nd clutch is 60 days a week from today and they all look amazing (I was actually ready for that clutch). Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you in advanced

Hi there, my first ever clutch that I hatched back in the 90's was over 80 days and I got really nervous but they hatched out very large, healthy + strong. And when you candle them they may not always move so just be patient. :) Can you post pics of your eggs ? Here's how some of mine looked as they neared hatching + during hatching .

How do I post a picture? They are smaller then that because I had incubation issues with the first clutch

Those guys hatched out huge, some were slightly over 5" which is not typical. I actually put my finger near that one because it was larger than most. So here's how to post pics :

Those look great, just be patient and they should hatch soon. Hopefully the vermiculite is still slightly moist, that's important.
