We rescued our beardie, Pig (because they eat A LOT), and originally thought Pig was a male, until he/she stopped eating and was restless and digging, which led us to believe he is a she and is gavid (has not been around any males). Pig has been playing in her dig box for 3-4 weeks now, poops and eats maybe once a week, and is lazier when she is not digging, as I would expect a pregnant/gavid beardie would be.
A few days ago you could see and feel the eggs in her belly, and now they are hard to find and we can’t even tell if they are there or not, however there are no eggs in her dig box. Do we keep putting her in her dig box and wait for her to lay?? Is she even pregnant or did the eggs just move down???
Dig box is properly heated and has the right sand to water ratio. Food is offered regularly and baths are given often too.
