Goodbye Blaze

I feel compelled to post a memorial to our beloved bearded dragon Blaze who passed away suddenly this morning. He was a joy to us for almost 8 and a half years. So we take comfort in knowing he was well cared for and made it to a good age for a bearded. He had been fine until we were away over the 4th of July weekend and had him watched by a friend and then seemed fine for two days after getting home, but last night at when we went to feed him crickets he turned jet black on his beard and tail and was rather unresponsive. He then passed this morning. I have to assume that for some reason he had something going on and this past week just stressed him beyond what he could handle at his age. He will be greatly missed and he was dearly loved. He brought a lot into our lives for the time we had him.

This board was invaluable to us over the years, especially in the beginning, in learning how to care for him. I will always be eternally thankful to the help we received from members here. So thanks again for all your help and information.

Goodbye Blaze. You will always be fondly remembered.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
