Just finished with a custom two level viv. We took an old entertainment center and divided it into two tanks by building a shelf, which also has all of the electronics for the lower level.
-Upper tank has 2 20W under-cabinet halogen lights for basking. After some arranging of viv decor, basking area is now at 107~ degrees.
-Lower level has three of the above mentioned lamps, and am seeing 97 degree temps directly on the tile. Should increase after I get decor and arrange it.
-Each level has a 24", 17W Reptisun 10.0 UVB, with fixtures painted black to blend in.
-Both tanks are set up on timers.
-Each tank has two 18"x18" tiles with reptile carpet to fill in voids. Both of which are on top of shelf liner.
-Two drawers are used for supplies.
-Lower cabinet will be set up with a heating pad for my dubia breeder colony so I can monitor their environment closer. Feeder colony is in the closet.
-Looking for a female beardie for my male leatherback, who you will see in the below pictures!
Let me know what you think.
Edit: Sorry about the rotated pictures. Not sure how to fix that...
The whole thing. Need another beardie for the bottom.
Taco basking in his new spot.
