Hello!

I assembled my 48"L x 18"W x 24"H Carolina Custom Cage yesterday. As a side note, I'm really impressed with the quality of shipping, and ease of assembly. It looks great. I plan to submit a photo here, for review, once I install the lights, basking area, etc.

I'm at the point where I need to purchase things to put inside. I have the following items. Do these look okay?:

- https://www.etsy.com/listing/794045958/repti-liner-bearded-dragon-accessories?ref=hp_rv-1&bes=1

What else do you recommend I put inside?
- I know the dragons don't usually need a water dish, if they are getting enough hydration. That said, is something like this not recommended? https://www.ebay.com/itm/233655934507?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28
- How's this for decoration? https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/imag-rpt-aloe-plant-2388344?cm_mmc=PSH-_-GGL-_-CAL-_-PME-_-PET-_-AQU-_-0-_-PM_GGL_FY21_SBU05_PrivateLabel-Imagitarium_LIA-SMRT-_-0-_-0&gclid=CjwKCAjwvMqDBhB8EiwA2iSmPLpx56Poj40y1LFhAfWckQppbC6OLVglKQY9x1TTjFmCsKfxBdSu1BoC2A0QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds
- In addition to the basking area I linked above, I'm thinking of getting a long piece of wood (thick grape vine?). Is that a good idea?

Thank you!

I like some of the decor the platform thingee not hot on but that is your decision the other things are nice --- the plant thing make sure they dont eat it --- some eat plastic decor if he / she starts to nibble on it or eat it get it out of the tank - - the water dish is really cute--- you can try it just keep a eye on the humidity level and it depends on the dragon most do not drink from a water bowl but you never know you may get one that does

Thanks Karrie.

I want to get it right, and am willing to purchase a better basking area than the platform. Do you just prefer a rock type basking area, or is there something in particular you don’t like about the wood platform? Is there a specific rock platform you recommend?

Thanks!

I use a piece of decor from Pet Smart that my dragons love -- it gives them different places to sit stand lay on or against or under -- https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/habitats-and-decor/habitat-decor/thrive-driftwood-reptile-decor-54734.html?cgid=500116
I have the long stick part that is in the air laying on the floor of the tank - w/ the big trunk part under that basking light -- they sit on that when warming up in the morning then move to the back side and stand against it or lay on the long stick part in between the pieces of the branch -- or Blaze lays under it -- it gives different basking temps w/ the way its in there -- I use a resin rock that sits under the UVB and Blaze will sit completely on top of it and Hiccup will stand against his w/ feet on the floor -- alot of people on here use wood from outside -- to me its too hard to keep clean so the resin is real easy to clean w/ soap and water etc but I am lucky I have two dragons that poop on the floor of the tank which is tile so its a simple clean up -- they dont usually poop on the decor --

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
