I think it would be fine --- you just haft to make sure the basking surface doesnt get too hot --- some materials heat up like stone example ---

The example link shows a custom product that sells for just under $200. I like the look a lot, but I also know that’s a lot of money for something that costs less than $10 in materials.

Anybody know of anything similar that is less money?

I’m guessing this is certainly a DIY product, but I’m not confident I could make it look as cool...
