Uvb placement

Hi i have the tank pictured where is the best please to put a reptisun 10 t8 24in with reflector? it has to go inside and it will be around 7in from her basking spot, My tank does not have any shelves inside it cannot go directly above/overhead as the basking bulb is above and in the Centre,

Your going to need to get it in the tank --- or cut a hole in the top so the UVB rays can get in --- a T 8 is not as strong as a T 5 - distance for the T 8 is going to need to be 6-8 inches directly above basking decor - your better off going w/ the T 5 if the enclosure is tall enough - you need at least 18 inches height

Hi the enclosure is not high enough for t5 thats why I have less powerful t8, just want it in the best place, I am most probably going to put it on the ceiling behind the basking bulb, there is just enough room with the reflector attached.

Working out distance from tube to basking spot

if compact UVB

Placement

Looking at your tank's arrangement , a T5 10% or 12% UVB tube without a reflector or reflector hood will work
OR
a T5 5% or 6% UVB tube with a reflector or a reflector hood will work
OR
a T8 10% or 12% UVB tube will work if it's got a reflector or reflector hood.
OR
a 26W UVB200 in a NANO HOOD ( reflector ) will work.

ALL THESE MOUNTED INSIDE (UNDER THE LID).
