Heating - Basking Spot

I'm wondering about the danger of overheating in a 4x2x2 Zen. Figment's basking spot temps change throughout the day - warming up gradually to the high 90s/low 100s, but by the end of the day, my probe often reads above 105F - I've seen it as high as 109F in the evening. Figment tend to lay in his basking spot most of the day, and moves a bit in the afternoons or evenings... am I right to assume that if the temp was too hot for him, he'd just move away? The cool side stays in the low to mid 70s all day, pretty much; it's 77F right now.

Does this sound okay?

They won't overheat as long as they have a cool area to retreat to when they get to hot. Sounds like you have that covered.

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
